Praveen is the head of the Corporate Practice Group at Spice Route Legal and a founding partner of the firm. As one of India’s leading M&A lawyers, he brings to the table over two decades of experience and an expansive industry-focused knowledge base. Praveen's sector-focused practice allows him to offer tailored legal solutions that align with the unique challenges and regulations faced by our technology clients. He has advised some of the biggest transactions in this sector.

Having practised law in India and Singapore, Praveen has assisted with mergers, acquisitions, and private equity transactions across 50+ countries over the course of his career.

Assisted India’s third-largest IT and telecommunications distributor with their strategic acquisition of a majority stake in a leading enterprise tech company in India.
Advised a software development company offering data security solutions on restructuring to facilitate the company’s redomiciling from India to the USA and provided related commercial and contractual advisory to ensure the client’s interests were protected.
Assisted a global cybersecurity provider with its acquisition of the Indian and US-based service arm of a technology company specialising in the identity and access management domain, providing IAM solutions to organisations primarily in India and the US.
Advised a global data-centric software provider on a Series C fundraise of USD27 million led by Oquirrh Ventures and Origami Capital.
Advised the third-largest distributor of computing solutions in India on its acquisition of an IT infrastructure distribution services provider – the largest acquisition in the Indian hardware/software distribution space.
Advised a drone technology manufacturer on its 82% sale of shares to one of India’s largest conglomerates for USD32 million.
Advised an Indian IT solutions company on the 100% sale of its shares to Larsen & Toubro Infotech, one of the top five construction companies in the world.
