Ruchika is an Associate with the Technology in Banking team at Spice Route Legal.
With a keen understanding of the intersection between law and innovation, she is a capable advisor to clients navigating the complexities of the financial sector landscape. She regularly assists leading fintech unicorns, payment processors, account aggregators, and financial institutions on multiple issues.
Ruchika now focusses on providing clients with end-to-end advisory in relation to structuring their interactions with regulators, technology licensing arrangements for banks and NBFCs, and negotiating API licenses.
Representative matters:
- Advising India’s largest bank and the world’s fourth-largest bank on a multi-million-dollar software outsourcing project to overhaul and modernise its technology.
- Advised the world’s leading financial data aggregator on redesigning its technological infrastructure, data storage, and encryption mechanisms, triggered by the scrutiny of the regulator during the pendency of a licence application.
- Assisted a platform that enables financial institutions to facilitate transparency and innovation with its AA licence application and liaising with the RBI during the pendency of the licence.
