Swarna is a Senior Associate with our Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, and Life Sciences team and a key member of our Corporate Practice Group.
Swarna works with prominent names in the Food and Drugs industry and has advised on several key transactions in this space. Within her work in the healthcare industry, she has a hyperspecialised focus on the food and nutraceuticals sector. She has represented several prominent players in this sector in private equity and venture capital transactions, acquisitions, buy-outs, winding-up, restructurings, and regulatory compliance.
Representative matters:
- Advised a strategic investment fund on multiple venture capital investments made by them into various target companies in the life sciences, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare sectors.
- Advised a healthcare-focused investment fund on its participation in a Series B investment of USD20 million into a biotechnology company that manufactures solutions for animal and human nutrition, as well as for agriculture.
- Advised an affiliate of India’s second-largest pharma player on an investment into a German company involved in the business of improving the health of humans and animals by producing human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs), which support the immune system and healthy intestinal flora.
