Aadya firmly believes that the key to success in the field of data law lies not only in legal knowledge but also in fostering a deep understanding of the technology driving data innovation. She has been widely recognised for her expertise in the field by leading publications across the globe, such as Asialaw and the Indian Business Law Journal. She has also been recognised as a ‘Rising Star’ by the Legal 500. Aadya is certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) as a privacy professional (CIPP/A) and is also recognised for her expertise across the globe by leading publications, including by OneTrust and the International Association of Privacy Professionals.

- Advised our European clients on financial services data transfers to India after the Schrems II decision and is assisting various such clients in managing cybersecurity incidents, as well as complying with the RBI’s localisation requirements.
- Advised an international shipping conglomerate that uses blockchain technology on data protection and privacy risks in India.
- Assisted a leading telecommunication player on a 40-jurisdiction analysis of cross-border data transfer risks.
- Advised companies on the collection and handling of patient, visitor, and donor data in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
- Advised multiple regulated entities and SaaS companies within the telecommunications sector on the implications of data localisation.
- Advised an AI/ML-powered telesurgery solutions provider on whether its product constitutes ‘software as a medical device’ under Indian laws, personal data protection laws applicable to its operations in India, and import/export restrictions with respect to its expansion into India.
- Advised one of India’s largest commercial banks on data localisation and data transfer regulations in relation to the delivery of financial services with the assistance of Amazon’s Alexa.
