Work Highlights

Assisted an Indian renewable energy player focused on the solar energy sector with a range of day-to-day commercial mandates including advice on multiple commercial agreements, a complex lease arrangement, novation agreements, and an ongoing arbitration over a dispute in an EPC arrangement with one of its project partners.

Advised an American green hydrogen fuel cell technology company on multiple commercial arrangements in order to set up three hydrogen production facilities in India. This included assisting them with IP licensing for manufacturing equipment, MoUs with collaborators, lease agreements, permits, and R&D arrangements with leading educational institutions.

Advised an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of four-wheeler electric vehicles and charging infrastructure with long-term supply and services arrangements for the supply of electric buses to an inter-state bus service operator in India. Further assisted it in its collaboration with a Chinese automotive component manufacturer, for the supply of battery packs and other key components of electric vehicles.

Advised a sustainable utility solutions company with a focus on energy efficiency, on the negotiation and drafting of its commercial arrangements with clients, by way of which the client would receive a share of the savings in energy consumption as fees for the technology and services deployed.

Assisted an Indian company engaged in manufacturing bromine-based compounds and chemicals on a technology and IP licensing arrangement with a joint venture engaged in the business of technology development and manufacturing electrolytes for lithium-ion batteries for the construction of a 10 KTA (Kilo Tons per Annum) plant in India using a Japanese multinational automobile manufacturer’s proprietary technology.
