AsiaLaw has recognised the firm’s competence and ability to deliver across a staggering nine practices and industry sectors, in their 2022 guide. This year, Spice Route Legal has crept onto AsiaLaw’s rankings for our work in the following areas –
AsiaLaw notes in its analysis of the firm, that Spice Route Legal is a rising star in the country, “swiftly climbing (the) tables since…debut last year”. In fact, in addition to the multiple new areas where our expertise has been noted, AsiaLaw’s researchers point out that in the span of just one year, the firm has “(gone) up one more rung for corporate and M&A, private equity, media and entertainment, and technology and telecommunications”.
Our technology & telecommunications practice (“Highly Recommended”) has been singled out for particular praise. Mathew Chacko has been recognised as a Distinguished Practitioner, and Ankita Hariramani as a Rising Star. Client feedback includes the fact that the firm has “an uncanny appreciation of how the law interacts with technology and meld(s) their global experience with extremely practical advice”. In addition, the directory quotes a client – “Mathew has an excellent grasp of his domain and is able to read client requirements intuitively.”
AsiaLaw highlights the founding partners’ international work experience, noting that both Praveen Raju and Mathew Chacko have each “spent numerous years practicing law outside India”, and that it is this experience that forms “the backbone of the firm’s ‘border agnostic’ deal perspective.”
Asialaw has also nominated us for the award of being the best new law firm across Asia – amongst all the law firms in Asia that have been formed in the last 5 years. The awards are in a couple of weeks – so, watch this space!
