Spice Route Legal has successfully advised Rentomojo, one of India’s largest furniture and appliances-leasing platforms, on its series D round of funding, and continues to advise the company in its ongoing series D1 round of funding. The round is a mix of both primary and secondary transactions, and the total round size is INR 210 crore (approximately USD 25 million).
The investment was led by private equity player, Edelweiss Discovery Fund Series – I, and the round saw participation from other investors such as Chiratae Growth Fund and Rajeev Chitrabhanu, who is the founder of Magnetic, an advisory-led investment platform. The Company will see another leading private equity investor participate in its series D1 round of funding.
The funding will enable Rentomojo to continue leading the creation of the appliances and furniture rental category in cities across India.
