Spice Route Legal is pleased to announce that it has advised Aerem Solutions, a leading end-to-end rooftop solar power solutions provider, on its USD 15 million Pre-Series B funding round. The round was led by SMBC Asia Rising Fund, a sub-fund of Incubate Fund Asia Rising VCC, an Asia-focused investment vehicle sponsored by Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation.
The funding round also saw participation from Aerem’s existing investors, including British International Investment, UTEC, Blume Ventures, Avaana Capital, Riverwalk Holdings, and SE Ventures.
The fresh capital will be deployed to expand Aerem’s pan-India footprint, strengthen its EPC and installer partner network, and accelerate rooftop solar adoption among MSMEs and residential customers. Aerem also plans to invest in improving affordability, execution quality, and post-installation performance visibility across its platform.
To date, Aerem has enabled over 1,200 MW of solar capacity and financed more than 2,000 projects across India. The company currently works with over 3,200 installation partners across 150 cities nationwide.
The Spice Route Legal transaction team was led by Janhavi Joshi (Senior Associate) along with support from Zeba Darvesh (Associate) and Praveen Raju (Partner).
