SILRES Energy raises investment from US-based Fenice Group and South Lake LLC

SILRES Energy, a subsidiary of solar energy company SunEdison Infrastructure, raised USD 12.5 million from US-based Fenice Group and South Lake LLC, which will be followed by a restructuring exercise to separate the under construction C&I and rooftop solar business, and the EPC business into a newly formed joint venture. The Spice Route Legal team, comprising of Praveen RajuRenuka AbrahamJanhavi Joshi, and Swarna Jain has advised SunEdison Infrastructure and SILRES Energy on the fundraise and the restructuring exercise.

SunEdison Infrastructure is a solar energy solutions provider with ongoing projects in C&I, rooftop solar, rural energy, EPC and other technology-based service offerings. The company has recently acquired controlling stake in various adjacent businesses, to strengthen and expand its capabilities across business verticals. Spice Route Legal has been at the forefront of advising SunEdison Infrastructure on various acquisitions and investments.
